I am deeply grateful to all of them for their guidance and patience. The links provided here represent only a small selection.

Most of what I’ve learned (well, it wasn’t exactly early – I only started at 49) came from those with whom I practiced daily in Mysore-style classes. Ashtanga Yoga thrives on this long-term guidance.

Today, I primarily practice on my own (“Self-Practice”), still five to six times a week.

At 65, however, my Ashtanga practice is different from what it was at 55. Certain postures are no longer accessible to me in the same way they were a few years ago, which teaches me to let go. What matters most to me is the inner experience – meditation in motion.”

[/et_pb_blurb][et_pb_blurb use_icon=”on” module_id=”current-teachers” _builder_version=”4.16″ body_font_size=”22px” background_color=”#748acc” global_colors_info=”{}”]

My current teachers

[/et_pb_blurb][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_2,1_2″ _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_blurb url=”https://www.ashtangayogaupperwestside.com/yogavataranam-yoga-sanskrit-and-philosophy” url_new_window=”on” image=”https://ashtanga-yoga-plus.de/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Zoë-Slatoff.jpg” _builder_version=”4.27.3″ link_option_url_new_window=”on” global_colors_info=”{}”]

My Sanskrit teacher, Zoë Slatoff, taught Ashtanga Yoga and Sanskrit in New York, USA, for over 20 years and, since 2018, has been teaching online through the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies (OCHS).
