What is the purpose of my existence?<\/li>\n<li>Where do I come from, and where am I going?<\/li>\n<li>How can I live a fulfilled life?<\/li>\n<li>How can I be a source of happiness and joy for myself and others\u2014rather than a cause of sorrow and suffering?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The answers to these questions must ultimately be found within ourselves, individually. There are no universal solutions.<\/p>\n<p>And yet, engaging with the insights of the ancient sages can offer us strength, inspiration, and guidance.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Yoga Philosophy<\/h3>\n<p>Yoga philosophy belongs to the classical Indian schools of thought. It offers a multifaceted and sometimes even internally contradictory foundation for various paths of exploring our inner and outer worlds.<\/p>\n<p>Key sources include the Bhagavad Gita, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and much later, the Hatha Pradipika.<\/p>\n<p>The introductory weekend offers an overview of the historical development and the various aspects of yoga philosophy. It primarily addresses mental yoga, focusing on mastering the mind.<\/p>\n<p>Among other teachings, the sutras describe the eightfold path, which lends its name to Ashtanga Yoga.<\/p>\n<p>A contemporary translation of the sutras can be found, for example, on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashtangayoga.info\/philosophy\/source-texts-and-sanskrit\/yoga-sutra\/\">Ronald Steiner&#8217;s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One of my ongoing projects is a regular blog dedicated to the Yoga Sutras. This will explore key sutras, specific terms such as Ashtanga, and their various interpretations. However, this is a long-term endeavor that you can follow as it develops <a href=\"https:\/\/ashtanga-yoga-plus.de\/en\/plus\/yoga-philosophy-chanting-and-sanskrit\/yoga-philosophy\/#yogasutra\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The following overview is a summary of the essential aspects of the eightfold path, based on a book by Desikachar (<em>Yoga: Tradition and Experience<\/em>), compiled by Martina Vogt. Jahrhundert bereichernd wirken. In der Tiefe haben wir Menschen uns in den letzten 5.000 Jahren nicht wirklich ver\u00e4ndert. Und in der Tiefe besch\u00e4ftigen uns noch immer die gleichen Fragen:\n\nWer bin ich? Was ist der Sinn meines Seins? Wo komme ich her, und wo gehe ich hin? Wie lebe ich ein erf\u00fclltes Leben? Wie kann ich f\u00fcr Andere und f\u00fcr mich Quelle des Gl\u00fccks und der Freude sein - und nicht Ursache&nbsp;von Trauer und Leid?\n\nDie Antworten auf diese Fragen m\u00fcssen wir selbst in uns finden, jede und jeder f\u00fcr sich. Da gibt es keine Pauschalantwort. Aktuell besch\u00e4ftigen wir uns mit den Yoga Sutren des Patanjali, der darin den achtgliedrigen Weg zur Befreiung beschreibt (\"Ashtanga Yoga\" im Sinne der geistigen Entwicklung).\n\nDieses Werk wird uns auch sicher noch eine ganze Weile besch\u00e4ftigen.\n\nDer Yoga Philosophie Zirkel ist f\u00fcr alle Interessierte offen, und Du kannst jederzeit - auch nur mal zum Schnuppern - dazukommen.
